This is a heartbreaking story of one young Lithuanian girl’s arrest and imprisonment in Stalin’s gulags. You will be floored by the depravity and inhumanity inflicted upon any citizen they considered to be “anti-Soviet.” While it is not a biographical story, it is based on the true accounts from survivors of the gulags. A mesmerizing and important book.
